Ibiza - Overview:
Ibiza is one of four islands making up the Balearics, and is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, around 100 miles south-east of the Spanish mainland city of Valencia. The local name of the island is Eivissa and the island is about 25 miles in length by 13 miles across. For many, Ibiza is synonymous with holidays in the sun and riotous partying; however much of the island is designated as World Heritage Sites by the United Nations, and as such most of the island remains unspoilt. Ibiza is within a few hours’ travel of most of Europe, with many low cost air carriers flying there; it is an attractive location for business people and celebrities to have second homes on the island and to commute.

Standard of Living:
The standard of living on the island is generally good, crime is relatively low and the weather is usually pleasant; for these reasons a number of celebrities have had homes or villas on Ibiza. Although the clubbing season between June and September sees a large increase in visitors to the island, there is much to see and do away from the main club areas. Diving is a popular activity for many visitors and there are a number of diving schools catering for this. The salt fields, Las Salinas the fossilised Caves of San Marca are popular tourist attractions and the scenery of the island is amongst the best in Spain.

Ibiza es una de las cuatro islas que componen el archipiélago de las Baleares, y está situado en el Mar Mediterráneo, cerca de 100 millas al sudeste de la ciudad de Valencia. Para muchos, Ibiza es sinónimo de vacaciones, sol y fiesta, sin embargo gran parte de la isla ha sido designada como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por las Naciones Unidas, y, como tal, en su mayor parte sigue siendo virgen. Ibiza se encuentra a pocas horas de viaje de la mayoría de las ciudades de Europa, y está comunicada por medio de infinidad compañías aereas, muchas de las cuales, de bajo coste. La isla se presenta como punto de atracción para ejecutivos, hombres de negocio y diversas celebridades que tienen su segunda residencia en la isla.

Modo de vida:
El nivel de vida en la isla es bueno en general, la delincuencia es baja y el clima es agradable, por estos motivos una serie de celebridades poseen casas o villas en Ibiza. Aunque los clubs solamente abren en temporada, entre junio y septiembre que es cuando aumenta el número de visitantes en la isla, hay mucho que ver y hacer fuera de las rutas discotequeras. El buceo es una actividad popular para muchos visitantes y hay una serie de escuelas en la isla. Las Salinas, Cuevas de San Marco y D'alt Villa, entre muchísimas otras, son algunas de las atracciones turísticas de la isla balear, además el paisaje se encuentra entre los más bellos de España.
